Imagine if everyone just followed their lust? Chaos! People are selfish and they eat all the meatballs. They drive too fast on the highway, they run red lights, and they steal the children's lunch boxes from the refrigerator.

Or what? What is your lust made of? Do you only contain selfishness and destruction?

Live your life because you want to

When we only do what we shall do, we get tired and depressed. We put lust in the cupboard like a bottle of wine, or like a cream cake in the fridge. Burdened by guilt, we eat cakes and drink wine when we finally have a break from the treadmill.

The Greek philosophy - eudaimonia - thinks that in reality you want to have a flourishing life without pain. You want the people around you to be happy and joyful. You want us all to live the good life.

Eat as much cake as you want, get fat and all wobbly. If you want to, do it. That way you keep depression at bay.

Start every day by enjoying that you want to. Want to get up, want to go to work, want to be with other people.

Lust shows us new possibilities every day

You don't have to go to work, you don't have to do anything - live every day because you want to. When we follow our lust, we discover so many possibilities for living the good life.

Maybe a lust for a new job. A lust for wonderful erotica. A lust for good conversations.
